New Castle County Police say, Robert Hyer completed a small portion of the deck at the woman’s home and never returned to her residence to finish the work. Police say, the elderly victim, who lives in Townsend, paid Hyer more than 26-thousand dollars in June to erect a deck and porch on her home. Officers checked Hyer’s home in Middletown and discovered a “for sale” sign on the property. Hyer’s phone had also been disconnected. He may be driving a white 1990 Ford pick up truck with a Delaware license plate of C83020. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Robert Hyer is asked to call New Castle County Police at 395-8171, attention Corporal Jeff Hill, or the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-TIP-3333.
